The following is a list of recommended books that I feel are Scripturally accurate, and contain much useful material for Christians. I have included addresses and telephone numbers where copies of the books can be ordered from.

Another place to check, is Amazon.com which carries some of the books I have listed here.

PLACEBO - Howard Pittman

The author of this book suffers a nearly-fatal hemorrhage of his aorta artery. As he passes out, he prays for a chance to plead his case for an extension of his life before God. His request is granted, but not the way he expected! This is a true story. This book shook me to the core!

DEMONS, AN EYEWITNESS ACCOUNT - Howard Pittman

A companion book to "Placebo"this book details Howard's journey through the Satan's kingdom in the Second Heaven while on his way to plead his case for an extension of life before God. An excellent book! However, i would recommend reading "Placebo"first, as it will explain much of what is happening in "Demons, an eyewitness account. This is also a true story.

On a personal note, I met Howard when he came to our church, and before I knew what his ministry was. I have checked him Scripturally as best I can, and I have found him to be 100% correct in these two books.

COUNTERFEIT REVIVAL - Hank Hanegraaf

An eye-opening book dealing with clearly un-Scriptural and demonic-driven doctrines within some of the churches today including "Holy Laughter", and other weird phenomena. I could hardly put the book down, as Hank regales the reader with stories about clearly demonic manifestations within churches that are being praised as the work of the Holy Spirit.

I would recommend this to anyone who has questions about what appears to be confusing or downright weird doctrines in their church. It helped explain some weird actions and teachings that I saw at a church I once attended when looking for a church home.

(This book can be purchased through Amazon.com or the author's own Web site the "Christian Research Institute ".)

The Gold of Exodus - Howard Blum

A fascinating account of two men who took their lives in their hands and traced the exact route of the Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt, to the TRUE Mount Sinai/Mount Horeb in Saudi Arabia, called Jebel al Lawz.

For hundreds of years, scholars have thought that Mount Sinai was in the Sinai peninsula, based on the site selected by Emperor Constantine's mystic mother, when Paul actually gave the clue to where it REALLY is in Galatians 4:25.

Larry Williams and Bob Cornuke trace the Exodus route, finding the bitter springs of Marah (Exodus 15:23), the oasis of Elim (Exodus 15:27) and other sites mentioned in Exodus. And at Jebel al Lawz, they find irrefutable proof that this is truly Mount Sinai of the Exodus account.
Apparently the Saudi government knows it too, for they have placed the site off-limits to outsiders, and have begun extensive archaeological study of the mountain and it's environs.

A fascinating book, one which is hard to put down! I recommend it highly for those interested in the Exodus, and for those who like intriguing reading.

The book can be ordered though Amazon.com or through publishers Simon and Schuster , or local book stores.

O Jerusalem! - Larry Collins and Dominique LaPierre

A riveting account of the formation of the State of Israel in 1948. The book provides accounts of the attempts of the Arabs to annihilate the Jewish people as they desperately fight against overwhelming odds to establish themselves in their ancient homeland.

Eyewitness accounts, stories and pictures make it seem that the reader is actually in the midst of the story. This book graphically details the fulfillment of God's promise to Ezekiel that the nation of Israel would once again rise in the last days (Ezekiel 37), and generates a deep respect for the men and women who in many cases gave their lives to establish the nation of Israel.

The book can be ordered through almost any local book store.
